A lecturer in the United States, who got global attention by wishing the late Queen Elizabeth II a painful death, Uju Anya, has called out a lecturer for allegedly accosting a female skateboarder at the University of Ibadan.
In a viral video, the lecturer is seen holding the student by the cloth and demanding she gives him the skateboard.
He accused her of endangering his life and the lives of others.
The girl, however, refused to release to let go of her skateboard, begging “Can we just have a conversation?” “No” the lecturer yelled, asking her to come with him to the security.
The girl said she could not let go of her skateboard because it cost her a lot of money to buy.
The video is believed to be old as academic activities in the university have been on hold since February over lecturers’ industrial action.
Reacting to the video, Anya tweeted on Wednesday, “Shameful and outrageous incident I’m referring to. Who should be arrested is this abusive wasteman putting his filthy hands on a young woman for doing nothing except being awesome.
“The thing that angers me the most about this situation is this young woman is above 18. Why the hell that man think he can put his hand on another adult on the street and force her to follow him somewhere? What gives him the right? It’s assault and attempted kidnapping.”
Anya also posted pictures of women skateboarding freely abroad.
“In solidarity with the University of Ibadan student harassed by that trash lecturer and every girl and young woman’s right to shred, here are pictures of my sk8r grrl,” she wrote.
