A UK-based hospital on Monday congratulated former Big Brother Naija housemate Mike Edwards and his wife Perri Shakes-Drayton on the birth of their son.
Newham Hospital where Matthew Olaoluwa Edwards was born on August 26 tweeted to congratulate the couple.
“Congratulations to @shakesdrayton and @aireyys on the birth of their baby boy,” the tweet read.
The hospital quoted Mike’s wife as saying: “On a number of occasions I had to visit Newham Hospital prior to giving brith. The staff members were very thorough when carrying out checks and always left me feeling reassured I was ok. Thank you to the midwifery team at Newham Hospital for making the experience special for both me and my husband to share together. We appreciate you and we’re happy to have delivered a healthy baby boy.”
While announcing his son’s arrival, Mike had said on Instagram that his pride knows no bound because Perri is the mother of his son.
The proud father stated that black women need to be taken care of because they are the future of tomorrow.
