The United States National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) has released images showing the debris of the helicopter accident that killed the group chief executive officer of Access Holdings Plc Herbert Wigwe.
A board member of NTSB Michael Graham visited the site with officials of the agency on Tuesday.
Graham highlighted the NTSB’s commitment to conducting a comprehensive investigation, adding that the team utilised overhead drones to map the wreckage and capture detailed photographs.
Wigwe, his wife Chizoba, first son Chizi, and former group chairman of the Nigerian Exchange Group, Abimbola Ogunbanjo; died in the crash on February 9, 2024.

The Airbus EC130 helicopter took off from Palm Springs Airport in California and was headed for Boulder City, Nevada when it went down near Halloran Springs in California.
A total of six persons onboard the aircraft died.
Witnesses described the weather conditions during the crash as “rain with a wintery mix” to investigators, which was later supported by NTSB meteorologists.
Also, reports of downed power lines in the crash area are being investigated.
