A United States Senator, Chris Coons, has told serial entrepreneur and philanthropist, Tony Elumelu, of his love for Nigerian movies.
Mr Elumelu, in a tweet early Thursday, said he met the lawmaker in Washington DC, US.
“I’m a fan of Nollywood. My daughter and I recently watched and talked about the movie The Wedding Party which s joyful and engaging and a reminder of how incredibly creative the people of Nigeria are,” Mr Coons said.
Elumelu thanked him for his continuous support to Africa and hoped he would support the creative industry in Nigeria.
“In Washington DC today after a great meeting, Senator @ChrisCoons had some great things to say about our amazing Nigerian Film Industry #Nollywood #TOEWay #Africapitalism #Theweddingparty #TWPMovie,” the entrepreneur said.
