Actor Uti Nwachukwu has reacted to allegations of impersonation and fraud by an American chef named Anthony Thomas.
Chef Anthony had taken to X, formerly Twitter to make a series of accusations against Uti including creating an account with his name and impersonating him.
Sharing a screenshot photo of Uti, he wrote: “This bastard made a fake IG page with many of my photos. He began requesting my friends as well. He then had the audacity to start begging them for money on Google Play gift cards. Someone sent me the page. I called him on IG, and he answered….”
Reacting to the chef’s allegations on Friday, Uti took to his Instagram story to share a throwback clip made on October 19, stating that the video has been used to scam several people.
Distancing himself from the fraudster, the 41-year-old wrote: “PLEASE VIEW MY STORIES TO SEE THE VIDEO THE SCAMMER USED TO ANSWER THE CHEF’s CALL.
