Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma on Friday returned to the state from Abuja following increasing security worries in the state.
The governor’s return comes six days after his country home in Omuma, Oru East Local Government Area was attacked by unknown gunmen.
There was rumour Uzodimma and other top government officials fled from the state amid rising insecurity.
About 10 persons have been killed in the state in the last six days. Commissioner for entrepreneurship and skill acquisition was shot in one of several robbery attacks.
Meanwhile, vehicles meant for the new security outfit in the south-east Ebube Agu have been procured and kept at the government house in Owerri.
