Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma on Wednesday sacked 20 out of his 28 commissioners.
This comes one month after he reshuffled his cabinet and appointed new commissioners for finance and health.
Commissioner for information and strategy Declan Emelumba made the announcement after the state executive council meeting in Owerri, the state capital.
He said the reason for the dissolution is to rejig the activities of the state government after one year in office.
The commissioners who were spared are those of health, information, tourism, women affairs, works, finance, youths, and technology.
