Leicester City striker, Jamie Vardy, was on Monday charged with improper conduct by the Football Association, following his sending off against West Ham United in their 2-2 Premier League draw.
Leicester have also been charged with failing to control their players after West Ham were awarded a penalty in the 83rd minute at the King Power Stadium on Sunday, the FA added in a statement.
Vardy was shown a second yellow card early in the second half for simulation and appeared to confront referee Jon Moss before leaving the field, a reaction that has landed him a charge by the FA.
A statement on the governing body’s website reads: “Leicester City’s Jamie Vardy has been charged with improper conduct for his behaviour following his second-half dismissal against West Ham United on Sunday 17 April 2016.
“Leicester have also been charged for failing to control their players following the awarding of an 83rd-minute penalty to West Ham.
“Both the player and the club have until 6pm on Thursday 21 April 2016 to reply to their charge.”
