Celebrity designer Veekee James has been trending on X after it was revealed that she designed one of the stunning outfits worn by Bonang Matheba, the host of Miss South Africa 2024.
Matheba, who captivated the audience at the grand finale held on Saturday at SunBet Arena in Pretoria, showcased five different outfits during the event.
The first ensemble, crafted by Veekee James, garnered widespread attention from Nigerians on X, who took to the platform on Sunday to praise the designer’s work.
Veekee James also tweeted “I see Veekee James is trending here for the 2nd time in 1 week. Guys I just wanna humbly say na ‘JESUS’ dey run am. Emphasis on ‘J E S U S.'”
Reports indicate that all five outfits worn by Matheba were created by Nigerian designers.
The Miss South Africa pageant, which concluded on Saturday, saw Mia Le Roux of Western Cape crowned as the winner.
One of the finalists Chidimma Adetshina withdrew from the competition last week following investigations into her nationality.
Adetshina announced her withdrawal on Instagram last Thursday, expressing gratitude for the support she received throughout her journey.
QEDNG also reported that the organisers of Miss Universe Nigeria have since invited the model to participate in the 2024 edition of the pageant.
