VeryDarkMan was hired to defame me, ABC Transport founder’s daughter Ihuoma Nneji reacts to police declaration

Ihuoma Nneji, daughter of ABC Transport founder Frank Nneji, has reacted after the Nigeria Police Force declared her wanted for alleged involvement in cybercrime.

The declaration was made by the National Cybercrime Centre (NPF-NCC) in Abuja and shared on the police’s official Instagram page on Tuesday.

According to the notice, Ihuoma is wanted for criminal defamation, injurious falsehood and cyberstalking.

Reacting on Wednesday in a lengthy post on Instagram, the nurse said she only became aware of the development through social media and denied any wrongdoing.

“I do not live in Nigeria and the police never reached out to me nor did they make any contact with me to the best of my knowledge,” she wrote.

She explained that her issues with Abuja businessman Henry Uzochukwu began in August 2024 after she called off their planned November wedding.

“This conflict between I and Henry Uzochukwu started in August 2024, when I called off the wedding… due to unresolved issues surrounding Henry’s sexuality,” she wrote.

“I found out incriminating information about Henry being gay and decided to back out of the marriage plans.”

Ihuoma claimed Uzochukwu failed to disclose past failed engagements and accused him of deceit.

“After I cancelled the wedding, he began to harass me, threaten my life and even went as far as claiming that I am behind a strange Instagram page spreading rumours about him – a claim that is unfounded, speculative and false,” she stated.

She further accused Uzochukwu of being behind defamatory content published about her on social media, alleging he sponsored online attacks through influencer Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan (VDM) and blogger Kemi Olunloyo.

“Henry was the mastermind who supplied all the pictures and chat messages between I and him to VDM and Kemi, exclusively from his phone,” she alleged.

“Details such as my full names, location, details of my profession as a nurse and private information were given to VDM as a bid to harass me – details that only Henry knew.”

She said she had filed a civil defamation suit against Uzochukwu at the Federal High Court in Abuja, but claimed he continued to sponsor “malicious narratives” against her in a bid to frustrate the case.

“For the past 6–7 months since I called off the wedding… I have been falsely and continuously slandered, defamed and cyberbullied numerous times,” she wrote.

Ihuoma added that while her name continues to trend online, her issue was not with VeryDarkMan but with Uzochukwu.

“This matter is not between me and VDM. Without Henry involving VDM I have no business with VDM. However, Henry continues to use VDM as a way to distract people from the real issues at hand.”

She described the development as “a disgusting ordeal and show of shame” and concluded by saying the matter would be handled legally.

“We will be handling the matter via the police and the court system. Be rest assured that justice will come to pass and the truth will surely come to light.”

This development comes just months after Ihuoma filed a defamation suit against Uzochukwu, VeryDarkMan and Kemi Olunloyo at the Federal High Court in Abuja.

The feud gained wider attention on September 24, 2024, when VeryDarkMan released a video warning Ihuoma to apologise to Uzochukwu within 24 hours over alleged blackmail, threatening to release evidence if she failed to comply.

He accused her of fabricating claims about her ex-fiancé, falsely claiming to be a travel nurse in the US and undergoing multiple cosmetic procedures including a Brazilian Butt Lift.

His videos, often shared across Instagram and Facebook, intensified the public scrutiny around Ihuoma in the months that followed.
