Nigeria international Victor Osimhen has agreed to join Saudi side Al Ahli from Napoli for a fee worth £67.3m (€80m).
The 25-year-old will undergo a medical on Friday and will be joining the club Napoli wanted him to go to the most as the Saudi Pro League transfer window closes on Monday.
Osimhen will receive around £33.6m (€40m) a season, that is £646,154 weekly tax-free. The deal also includes a release clause.
This development means Chelsea will miss out on bringing the Nigerian on loan with an obligation to buy.
The London club had been tracking Osimhen all summer.
Before agreeing to the Saudi move, Osimhen’s agent Roberto Calenda insisted “he still has so much to do in Europe,” raising Chelsea’s hopes a deal could be agreed.
Enzo Maresca’s side will now turn their attention to Brentford striker Ivan Toney among others on Deadline Day.
Napoli already replaced Osimhen with Romelu Lukaku who joined from Chelsea on Thursday.
