Presidential candidate of the Labour Party Peter Obi on Tuesday visited the Ooni of Ife Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi in Ile Ife, Osun State.
Obi was received with cheers as he entered the palace with the Ooni. The moment was captured on camera.
The former governor of Anambra State has been meeting with political figures and monarchs across Nigeria ahead of next year’s election.
Before his arrival in Osun State, he met with Ondo State Governor Rotimi Akeredolu and his wife Betty over the death of the governor’s mother.
Since announcing his interest in the Presidency, Obi has been getting unusual cheers at public functions.
At the national conference organised by the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) in August, lawyers cheered wildly when Obi was introduced.
In July, Obi received a rousing welcome at the Dunamis International Gospel Centre, Abuja.
