Veteran filmmaker Zeb Ejiro paid an emotional tribute to his late sibling Chico Ejiro at a service of songs on Tuesday, declaring that the deceased “was not just my younger brother.”
A fellow filmmaker, Chico died on December 25 from cardiac arrest.
An evening of tributes cum service of songs was organised in his honour at the National Theatre by Nollywood practitioners.
Speaking at the event, a still shaken Zeb said people told him not to cry and be strong, but he wondered how he was going to do that having lost someone who was his “twin” and “best friend”.
With tears in his eyes, Zeb said “things can never be the same; not anymore,” ending his tribute with “I love you.”
