A lying-in-state was on Thursday held in honour of late reggae legend, Ras Kimono, who passed away on June 10, 2018 at the age of 60.
The ceremony was held at the Copyright Society of Nigeria (COSON) House in Ikeja, Lagos.
Musicians, Rastafarians and fans gathered to catch a glimpse of the music icon one more time and pay their last respect before his body sets out for Asaba, Delta State for the final activities leading to the burial on Saturday.
Among those present for the lying-in-state were COSON Chairman, Tony Okoroji; entertainment promoter, Edi Lawani; singer, Alariwo, and former backup singer to Majek Fashek, Monica Omorodion.
A delegation of the COSON officials, friends and family of the deceased, entertainers and journalists accompanied Kimono’s corpse as it made its way to Delta for the burial.
