A video of former President Muhammadu Buhari strolling in his hometown of Daura in Katsina State has gone viral on social media.
Buhari recently returned to Daura from a trip to London to get some rest where he was visited by his successor President Bola Tinubu.
The video of Buhari strolling with a few escorts has been shared multiple times on social media.
A former digital communications aide to Buhari, Bashir Ahmad, also shared the video on Twitter on Thursday.

“The street of Daura couldn’t believe it. A video of former President Muhammadu Buhari taking a stroll on Wednesday evening in his hometown, Daura. A leader at absolute peace with his people,” he said.
In the video, Buhari is seen in his ‘babaringa’ outfit, walking with two escorts believed to be from the Department of State Services (DSS) by his side and an armed policeman behind.
Residents of the neighbourhood greeted him in amazement and wished him good health.
