The video of a man grabbing the presiding bishop of Living Faith Church aka Winners Chapel International, David Oyedepo, while on pulpit has gone viral.
The video, which surfaced on social media on Tuesday, shows a man in white suit running to the pulpit and grabbing Oyedepo by the leg.
Church security and some leaders on the altar, including Oyedepo’s son David, forcefully pulled the man away. Some ushers held Oyedepo to ensure he does not fall during the struggle.
The incident is said to have occurred on November 28, a week before the church’s annual Shiloh programme held from December 7 to 12.
PM News reports that it gathered from a top source in the church that the intruder came through the Love Wing of the church during the fourth service and tactically made his way to the pulpit while Oyedepo was preaching.
Although the church did not make a public statement on the matter, it was gathered that security had been heightened at the church since the incident.
The online newspaper said the security team that was on duty when the incident occurred have been changed.
