A video of the immediate past governor of Anambra State Willie Obiano allegedly shot from his detention at the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has hit the internet.
In the 12-second video, Mr Obiano was seen in shorts and a T-shirt drinking water as an unknown mam speaks to him.
The clip, which hit social media on Sunday, has got Nigerians talking. As of the time of filing this report the EFCC was yet to react to the video.
Obiano is being interrogated over alleged misapplication of N5 billion Sure-P and N37 billion security vote, withdrawn in cash.
Part of the funds were also allegedly diverted to finance political activities in the state, a source told NAN on Saturday.
Obiano was arrested last Thursday at Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos hours after formally handing over to Prof Charles Soludo, a former governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria.
The 66-year-old was on his way to Houston, Texas, US when he was apprehended by operatives of the EFCC.
He was transferred to Abuja for further questioning on Friday where he is expected to be arraigned.
