The young jihadist, reportedly in his 20s and with a wisp of beard, has been named as Jafar al-Tayyar.
He was fighting with al-Qaeda aligned rebels, the al-Nusra Front, in northern Syria and was part of an attack on the mainly Shi’ite town of Fua in the Idlib province.
The video was reportedly originally released onto YouTube but has since been removed because it violated anti-violence policy.
In footage obtained by The Mirror, the young man who appears physically distressed is seen being hugged and comforted by militants as he weeps before embarking on his final mission.
While sitting inside an armoured vehicle loaded with explosives, he is reportedly told, “Jafar, my brother, don’t be afraid. When you are scared, remember Allah.”
He replies: “I’m just scared I won’t succeed,” before he is sent off to his death and the vehicle is seen driving away.
The footage later shows an explosion that is the result of the young man’s mission.
It is unclear how many people were killed or injured in the attack.
More than 200 rockets and seven separate suicide bombs driven against the defences of Fua, which has been under siege for two years, were involved in the wider attack.
Since the assault on Friday, a ceasefire has come into effect in the area around Fua and the neighbouring Shia village of Kefraya.
Fighting has also stopped around the rebel-held town of Zabadani, which has been under similar bombardment from the Shia militia Hezbollah since July.
It is the third attempt to halt fighting in the three areas.
The al-Nusra Front, also known as Jabhat al-Nusra, were reportedly behind the execution of at least 56 Syrian government troops at a military airport in the Idlib province this week, according to monitoring group the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.
