Violence broke out on Monday at the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential rally held at the MKO Abiola International Stadium, Abeokuta, Ogun State.
APC supporters locked horns with those of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) whose governorship candidate had the backing of the out-going Ogun State Governor, Ibikunle Amosun.
APM supporters joined the campaign train at the stadium as a result of their adoption of Buhari as presidential candidate.
Supporters of the APM reportedly went for the attack first by hurling dangerous objects at the APC supporters wearing branded shirts of the Ogun APC governorship candidate, Dapo Abiodun.
The victims were said to have jumped the fence to escape harm.
Earlier, security operatives had rounded up several persons found with charms and dangerous weapons as they attempted to gain entrance to the stadium.
