Former Governor Peter Obi was in his element at the Global Patriot Newspapers annual lecture/award in Lagos on Thursday where he spoke on the theme “Patriotism, Untapped Potentials and National Development”.
One of the highlights of his presentation was his theory on the cause of agitation and terrorism in Nigeria.
Accusing Nigerian leaders of not being patriotic or caring about the country, Mr Obi said the consequence is that you have an army of young and productive men who don’t know where there next meal will come from.
“If you don’t know where the next meal will come from,” Obi said, “you are a terrorist.”
One of those in the audience was Special Adviser to President Muhammadu Buhari on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina.
