Very few movie fans in Africa can keep their eyes or minds off Rita Dominic.
Born Rita Uchenna Nkem Dominic Waturuocha to the Royal Waturuocha family of Aboh Mbaise local government area of Imo state, she is one of the most sought after thespians on the continent.
The 40-year-old fair beauty graduated from the University of Port Harcourt with a BA (Honours) Degree in Theatre Arts in 1999.
She has starred in over 100 productions since Basorge Tariah introduced her to Nollywood in 1998.
In 2004 she won the City People Awards for the Most Outstanding Actress.
She also won the 2012 Africa Movie Academy Award (AMAA) for Best Actress in a Leading Role for the movie Shattered.
Beyond acting, she is also a producer with the award-winning The Meeting to her credit.
Her brand equity has also rubbed off on institutions like Keystone Bank and Zaron Cosmetics.
