In a move aping a trend that started with Hollywood star, Demi Moore, from a 1991 Vanity Fair photo, Chidera lets it all hang out with her hand the only thing covering her modesty in some of the shots.
Her only claim to fame in all the reports circulating on Sunday is that she is a “Nollywood actress and video vixen”.
A quick check by QED however could not reveal her true Nollywood credentials.
In a post on Facebook, performing artiste and film journalist, Shaibu Hussein, said “I don’t know her and I should know. And who crowned her a ‘diva’ biko?”
An actress who does not want her name in print confessed that “the name does not ring a bell. Maybe she is one of the many working from outside Lagos but I have never heard of her. But as long as she is naked, dat her PR go work.”
Another responded that “this girl get liver o! As she is pregnant, is she not married?”
Yet another, who appears on the popular Lekki Wives TV series, told us “everyone is an actress. Didn’t you get the memo? The first person that published the photos probably called her an actress because the girl said she is an actress. Everyone is an actress, even if it’s just in their mind.”
A male director was of the opinion that Chidera “probably did that to break into Nollywood. I am sure some people will want her in their movies pretty soon.
“Unlike Chidera, pregnant American celebrities who posed nude for magazine covers were already household names in their fields of endeavour. The like of Demi Moore, Mariah Carey, Claudia Schiffer, Cindy Crawford, Monica Belluci, Britney Spears, Jessica Simpson, Alicia Keys, Kelly Rowland and Kourtney Kardashian did their pregnant photoshoots as superstars. This woman, if she ever breaks into mainstream Nollywood, may end up getting only roles that require her to take off her clothes.”
