Music executive Kenny Ogungbe, CEO of Kennis Music, has shared insights into the measures his record label took to protect 2face from the distractions of fame, particularly the attention of women.
Speaking on The Honest Bunch podcast, Ogungbe disclosed that during 2face’ time with Kennis Music, the label made deliberate efforts to keep the young artiste focused on his career.
He described 2face as a magnet for female admirers and revealed that Kennis Music often intervened to deny the singer access to the women who sought him out.
“When 2face was with us [at Kennis Music], we prevented him from seeing girls. Girls come to look for him all the time, but we didn’t allow him to see any of them.
“But when he left our record label, there was nothing we could do about the situation anymore,” Ogungbe explained.
The music executive noted that after 2faba left Kennis Music, his personal choices—including his relationships—became more prominent in the public eye.
Despite facing criticism and jokes from comedians about his womanising, Ogungbe chose not to confront him, stating, “I didn’t call him to question him because he’s a matured man. Every man has his cross.”
2face’ relationships have been a consistent topic of public interest throughout his career.
He is married to actress Annie Idibia, whom he wed in 2012.
However, he also shares children with two other women, Sumbo Adeoye and Pero Adeniyi, making him a father to seven children from three women.
