Mohammed told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Omu-Aran on Saturday that the unit had mapped out strategies to achieve this objective.
He said the unit was aware of the increase in the volume of traffic during the period and had mobilised enough resources required for a successful operation.
Mohammed recalled the success recorded by the command during the recent Eid-el-Kabir celebration, saying it would replicate same during the coming Christmas and New Year festivals.
“I want to assure the people, particularly road users, that the command is prepared to prevent road crashes and other road-related hazards throughout the ember months and beyond.
“We cannot do it alone. Definitely we need the assistance and cooperation of other stakeholders like the transport unions, community leaders and other law enforcement agencies to succeed,” Mohammed said.
