Queen Tobi Phillips-Ogunwusi, one of the wives of the Ooni of Ife Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, has said she would not be offended if the Ooni decides to marry more wives.
The former beauty queen got married to Oba Ogunwusi on Sunday, October 9. She was one of the women the Ooni married in quick succession.
Describing how she would react if Oba Ogunwusi takes more wives, Queen Phillips-Ogunwusi said on TVC’s Your View show on Thursday that she knows the Ooni is a traditionalist so she would not feel “too offended.”
“Naturally if you know who you are you won’t be so bothered by being in a group (of women). Also if you have your personality outside being somebody’s wife you won’t feel too offended,” she said.
“Knowing that being in this marriage, he (the Ooni) is a traditionalist he has a right to choose many women if he chooses to we already know that so I don’t think it should bother anyone.”
Phillips-Ogunwusi had a large following on Instagram before she got married.
Earlier in December, she revealed how the monarch fulfilled an eight-year dream of hers of having singer Timi Dakolo perform at her wedding.
