Social media celebrity, Ismaila Mustapha, popularly known as Mompha, has knocked his friends, saying they were not there for him when he was arrested.
His statement came after the controversy which greeted his appearance in a comedy skit by comic star, Broda Shaggi, on Thursday.
“I don’t understand why comedy skit with Broda Shaggi is now some people’s problem!!! Bastard people when I had issues none of you were there for me and now that I decided to support my brother it’s now a big problem…,” Mompha said on Instastories.
The skit which was made for YouTube was shared by Broda Shaggi on other social media platforms.
In the video, Mompha is accosted by Broda Shaggi and Omoromoke Ijaya who act as police officers.
Mompha is in the video directed to produce paperwork for the vehicle he is seen driving alongside his driver’s licence, which he does.
He is also seen telling Broda Shaggi to desist from calling him a criminal.
Mompha was arrested on October 19, 2019, at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja. He was arraigned on November 25 on 14 counts bordering on fraud, money laundering and running a foreign exchange business without the authorisation of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).
