Radio personality and talk show host, Toolz, has asked the Senator representing Kogi West, Dino Melaye if he was truly kidnapped.
Senator Ben Murray-Bruce and former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, tweeted about the purported kidnap on Thursday.
However, in a Twitter message on Friday, Dino Melaye announced his freedom. He thanked God for “escaping another dangerous attack.”

Like many Nigerians, Toolz didn’t buy that the senator was kidnapped. In her response to Dino Melaye’s post, the OAP ask if he was genuinely kidnapped or it is one of his ploys to dominate the headlines.
“Were you really kidnapped? Or is this part of another play? And will you start wearing a neck brace again?” she wrote.

The Nigeria Police Force said on Thursday that it had not received any complaint or report in any of its divisions or stations throughout the Federal Capital Territory or any other state command about the reported kidnap of Senator Dino Melaye.
Dino Melaye’s lawyers also told a Senior Magistrate’s Court in Lokoja, Kogi State where Melaye is facing charges of illegal possession of firearms and arms dealing, that is whereabouts was unknown.
