Singer Oladapo Oyebanjo, widely known as D’Banj, paid a courtesy visit to Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Thursday at Alausa, Ikeja, Lagos.

The artiste shared a video of his visit on his Instagram page, saying it was an honour to be received by Lagos’ first citizen.

The delegation was led to the governor’s office by the CEO of Temple Company, Idris Olorunnimbe.

In his post, D’Banj expressed his excitement, writing, “Today was good, meeting with Mr. Governor, @jidesanwoolu, presenting my upcoming album The Entertainer: D’Sequel.

“It was also an honor to have the Deputy Governor, @drobafemihamzat, present as well. Big shoutout to my brother @siphodlam for joining me.

“As I shared the new tracks, I was reminded of how much Lagos has always been at the heart of my music journey, and I’m grateful for the continued support. The Album is almost here, OooooSHeeeeee.”

The governor’s apecial assistant on new media, Jubril Gawat, also highlighted the visit by sharing the same video on X (formerly Twitter).

Gawat’s post read, “Between Governor #jidesanwoolu and #iamdbanj earlier today.”

The visit comes just ahead of the launch of D’Banj’s new album The Entertainer: D’Sequel set for release on Friday.

During the visit, D’Banj presented a commemorative plaque to Sanwo-Olu, marking the forthcoming album’s launch.

The Entertainer: D’Sequel is a follow-up to D’Banj’s previous release, ‘Koko’, and continues to build on the momentum of his recent track, ‘Since04’, which celebrates his two-decade journey in the music industry.
