Actress Iyabo Ojo has noted that her colleague Funke Akindele cannot reply to her birthday message on Instagram because they blocked each other on the platform.
The 44-year-old received backlash from critics for celebrating Funke on the the latter’s 45th birthday on Wednesday.
“Fly high birthday girl. More blessings, more success, more wins. Happy birthday mate,” she wrote to the celebrant.
Reacting in the comment section of the post, an Instagram user identified as Tscents knocked the actress for celebrating Funke.
“You too like Oju aye. Somebody you’re not following why post her on your page ma?” Tscents wrote.
Another user identified as Peace _123 added: “Na busy body dey do her. Funke did not even reply her.”
Firing back at the critic, Iyabo revealed that she and Funke have been trying to unblock each other on Instagram since they resolved their fight.
“Ode odugbo….. Funke & I blocked ourselves and we have been trying to unblock each other, if you’re well informed you well know that IG as made its difficult to unblock each other each other once you both block each other… wisdom is profitable to direct,” she wrote.
Iyabo and Funke ended their beef publicly at the 2022 Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards (AMVCA).
The duo fell apart in September 2021, after Iyabo Ojo accused Funke of sponsoring negative review on Toyin Abraham’s film The Ghost and the Tout Too.
