Veteran actress Bimbo Akintola has shared her reasons for remaining unmarried despite ongoing societal expectations.
In an interview with colleague Emmanuel Ehumadu (Labista), she opened up about her experiences with love, relationships and marriage.
Bimbo revealed that she once lost someone she deeply loved and since then, hasn’t found a person who could replace him.
Reflecting on her past heartbreaks, she explained how these experiences have significantly shaped her views on commitment and relationships.
When asked if she has any plans to remarry, Bimbo expressed her reluctance, pointing out that entering into marriage with someone who isn’t fully committed to lifelong vows would not be fair or fulfilling.
She emphasised that she does not believe in compromising on something as sacred as marriage.
The actress also voiced her disappointment in how marriage is often handled today, noting that many couples struggle to uphold their commitments.
Bimbo stressed that, while she believes marriage is a beautiful and sacred union, her disillusionment stems from seeing modern approaches that lack true commitment.
