Nollywood actress, Joju Muse, has given reasons for her disbelief in God.
The 30-year-old gave the detailed explanation in an exclusive interview with QedTV.
Responding to a question on if she was an atheist, she said: “Am I an atheist? I think I am, I don’t believe in the existence of Gods, I just believe in common sense.
“Religion has made us throw away our common senses – our sense of humanity, our sense of love – and it has bestowed on us judgment, hatred, bitterness and all sorts of unexplainable behaviors.
“How can you hate somebody because that person is living his life?”
The Olabisi Onabanjo University graduate said that religion brings division into the world and she cannot love something that divides the world.
“Every good that I do or every bad that I do, I do it because I want to do them. I don’t do it because I’m scared of heaven, or I want to go to heaven or I’m scared of hell.”
Joju further said that her good and bad sides are what make her a human being adding that her parents are who she identifies as her creators and God.
The Tinsel star whose mother attends the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministry has previously shared how she was sexually molested by a lesbian in church.
The actress shared the experience on Facebook.
She wrote: “I had my first lesbian experience (molestation) in church during Sunday school.
“I was only 6, Jesus didn’t protect me, the church couldn’t protect me. My Sunday school teacher didn’t even care. And I had to grow up and keep quiet until I had the courage to heal.
“So many kids are going through, have gone through and will still go through the same thing because of insensitive religious biased morons.”
