Rapper Tochukwu Ojogwu, known professionally as Odumodublvck, has revealed why he will choose footballer Messi over Ronaldo.
The 30-year-old gave his reasons in a recent interview with BBC Radio 1Xtra, where he was asked to choose between Messi and Ronaldo, and without hesitation, he picked Messi.
Odumodublvck described Messi as a symbol of hope, and determination and one who inspires him.
Odumodublvck said, “Messi or Ronaldo? Messi. I’m a Messi fan. I had to put that out. King of football. Cleared everybody’s doubts – and he won the World Cup. After losing five or four finals with Argentina. That’s a symbol of hope, a symbol of determination. Don’t give up.
“I’m 30 years old. A lot of artists blew up when they were 20/21. I know how far I’ve come to get here. It took me seven years to get to this point, so when I look at Messi I draw inspiration. That’s why he’s the greatest.”
Speaking about Ronaldo, he added, “Shoutout to Ronaldo cos hard work, Ronaldo is that guy too. And there’s no problem if someone is better than you at something. That’s my message to Ronaldo.”

Besides being a fan of Messi, the rapper is also a staunch supporter of Arsenal player Declan Rice. He was at the Emirates Stadium to watch the Gunners thrash the French Ligue 1 side 6-0 on Wednesday.
Odumodublvck became a global sensation when he dropped his hit track ‘Declan Rice’ in 2023 while the England midfielder was still at West Ham United.
