Chairman of Eleganza Group Rasaq Okoya has described TV personality Morayo Afolabi-Brown, co-host of TVC’s Your View show, as his precious daughter.
Okoya, the Aare of Lagos, stated this in a video the journalist shared on Instagram on Saturday while making remarks about her forthcoming book Becoming the Queen of Talk TV.
The broadcast journalist is releasing the book to mark her 10th anniversary on television.
Okoya said, “Morayo, you are my precious daughter. I am very loyal and close to you because your father is (was) my very very close friend. And I’m very happy to see you progressing. With this book God will prosper the work of your hands. You will be successful. This book will give you quantum leap in your career by God’s grace.”
Mrs Afolabi-Brown urged her fans to say “amen” to Okoya’s prayer.
“Pls help me say amen oo!! I believe God honors the prayers of our elders. I’m thankful to God for surrounding me with elders. May we all live to a good old age and do the same for those coming behind us. Amen,” she captioned her post.
Afolabi-Brown’s late father Alao Aka-Bashorun was a friend of Okoya, the late Subomi Balogun and many other high-profile personalities.
