Movie star Jide Kosoko has shared his thoughts on why Kehinde Bankole won the best actress in a lead role category at the 2024 Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards (AMVCA).
Kehinde Bankole beat Funke Akindele, Omowunmi Dada, Segilola Ogidan, Ireti Doyle and others who were nominated in that category which is regarded as one of the toughest.
Congratulating her in an Instagram post on Tuesday, Jide Kosoko stated that Kehinde deserves the award, adding that she worked for it and it was long overdue.
He wrote: “This award is over due. You deserve this. You have worked for it. Continue to shine baby girl.”
Kehinde who won for her role in Adire has also received congratulatory messages from Toyin Abraham, Timini Egbuson, Joke Silva, Foluke Daramola, Kemi Adetiba, Omowunmi Dada, Biodun Stephen, Shan George and others.
