Kogi Central Senatorial candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the February 25 poll Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan has been transferred to Abuja from Federal Teaching Hospital Lokoja, Kogi State following an accident on Friday, April 14.
Mrs Akpoti-Uduaghan was said to have arrived at the Lokoja hospital unconscious but requested immediate transfer to Abuja when she regained consciousness.
The accident occurred along Lokoja-Abuja road.
“She was unconscious but was resuscitated with rapid response by the management. Consultants were mobilised for prompt action, glory to God, she was restored,” a source was quoted to have told Sahara Reporters.
“When she came around and discovered she was in Lokoja, FTH, she requested to be transferred to Abuja that night. They left here minutes after 6pm for Abuja. You know here won’t be safe for her. She was stable when they took her from here.”
Akpoti-Uduaghan is challenging the results of the senatorial election that produced Abubakar Sadiku-Ohere of the APC as winner.
She has been a vocal voice against the Yahaya Bello administration in Kogi.
