Former Ekiti State governor Ayodele Fayose has wondered why President Muhammadu Buhari planned to flag-off his 2019 presidential campaign in Akwa Ibom State, instead of Zamfara, Borno or Yobe States.
Mr Fayose attacked President Buhari in a message on Twitter on Thursday for only making a phone call when Nigerians were being killed in Zamfara State.
Killings and kidnappings have surged in recent times in Zamfara while Borno and Yobe States have been troubled by Boko Haram insurgents.
Fayose claimed that Mr Buhari took his campaign flag-off to a state which has been made peaceful by the Peoples Democratic Party-led government of Governor Emmanuel Udom.
