Veteran actress Taiwo Ajai-Lycett was visibly absent at the premiere of Toyin Abraham’s latest film Malaika.
The star-studded event took place at the Imax Cinema on Sunday.
However, Taiwo Ajai-Lycett who is featured in the film did not attend the premiere because she was at the Nigerian Media Merit Award LGB, where she was conferred with the honour of “Distinguished Leadership Award for Outstanding Service to the Media.”
The event was also held on Sunday at The Shell Grand Functions Hall, Muson Center in Lagos.
The award ceremony was hosted by Alh. Muhammed Idris Malagi (industry host) and Engr. Vincent I. Maduka; Dr.Haroun al Rashid Adamu (partons/eminent hosts).

Although Taiwo was absent at the movie premiere several of her colleagues like Joke Silva, Shaffy Bello, Jaiye Kuti, Allwell Ademola, Regina Chukwu and her co-stars Emeka Ike, Muyiwa Ademola and Abike Shugaa.
She also posted a trailer for the film ahead of the premiere.
