Nollywood actress Adesua Etomi has spoken on the reconciliation of Channels TV reporter Pius Angbo and his wife Ifeyinwa Angbo.
Mrs Angbo had made a video that went viral on social media on Sunday, alleging her husband had a history of battering her in their six-year-old marriage.
”Hello people, my name is Ifeyinwa. I am a doctor. I have been married to Pius Angbo of Channels TV for six years. And for six years, I have not known peace in this marriage. It’s been from one woman to another,” she said, showing her battered face.
She also said they have four children and the last one came via Caeserian section about four weeks ago.
Benue State Governor Samuel Ortom reconciled the couple on Monday.
Adesua, 32, was not pleased with the reconciliation saying the normalization of violence against women should be stopped in a tweet on Monday.
“STOP NORMALISING VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN. This woman told us this man sat on her stomach after a caesarean section. EVIL!!!” she wrote.
In another tweet she said there is nothing nobel about staying in an abusive relationship.
“There is nothing noble about staying in an abusive relationship or marriage. RUN FOR YOUR LIFE!!!” she wrote on Tuesday.
Adesua is married to singer Banky W.
