Senior pastor of City of David Parish of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) Idowu Iluyomade has posted several pictures of himself and wife Siju Iluyomade on social media in celebration of his 64th birthday.
The church has also made several social media posts to celebrate its leader.
Former group CEO of Access Holdings Herbert Wigwe was a member of the church while he was alive.
One of the church’s posts reposted on Instagram by Iluyomade read, “Happy beautiful birthday to our esteemed Pastor ID! Your leadership, guidance, and unwavering faith inspire us all. May your special day be filled with blessings and joy as you continue to shepherd and uplift our community.”
Celebrating her husband, Siju wrote, “Today is your birthday Sugar! We thank God for His Faithfulness, Newness, Grace, and Kindness. Happy Birthday My Darling.”
Siju’s elaborate 60th birthday on February 18, days after Wigwe, his wife Chizoba and son Chizi, and others died in a helicopter crash in the United States drew criticism from members of the public.
Siju gathered influential guests, including billionaires and monarchs, to rejoice with her at the party which took place at Eko Hotels and Suites, Victoria Island Lagos.
The clergywoman and her husband also got tongues wagging when singer Flavour N’abania serenaded her with his hit songs, such as ‘Ada Ada’, ‘Berna’, ‘Big Baller’ and ‘Adamma’. Some netizens questioned the presence of a secular singer at a party hosted by a pastor.
