Super Eagles youngster, Wilfred Ndidi, is edging closer towards a move to Premier League champions, Leicester City, in January.
According to multiple reports in Belgium, the Foxes who have another Nigerian, Ahmed Musa, on their payroll have agreed a £15 million deal with Genk for the services of the 19-year-old.
Belgian newspaper, HLN, reports that the move is still subject to a work permit but the 19-year-old’s transfer is expected to be completed.
Ndidi will offer Claudio Ranieri a versatile option with his ability to play in defence and midfield.
The Foxes have failed to find a suitable replacement for N’Golo Kante, who was sold to Chelsea for £30m in July.
Leicester currently sit 14th in the Premier League having won just three of their 13 games this season.
Ndidi has been capped three times for the Super Eagles since making his debut in a friendly against DR Congo in 2015.
He has also represented Nigeria at the U17 and U20 levels.
