Super Eagles defender, William Troost-Ekong, has bid Gent fans farewell after over two years at the club.
Troost-Ekong recently moved to Turkish side, Bursaspor.
The 23-year-old, a product of Tottenham’s youth system joined the Belgian side from FC Groningen.
But the Dutch-born star was unable to tie down a regular starting berth with the Buffalos, hence spent his first season on loan at Haugesund where he featured 38 times.
Yet, on return to Ghelamco Arena, the Nigerian still found game time difficult to come by, playing just eight times last season.
Notwithstanding his less colourful time with the 2015 Belgian champion, Troost-Ekong still had fond words for the club and its fans.
Troost-Ekong is expected to feature predominately for his new club next season.
