Chief Willie Obiano acquired the reputation of a dandy long before he became a politician, and we have the picture to prove it.
The picture, posted on Facebook on Sunday by a former Public Relations Manager of Texaco Nigeria Plc, Nathaniel Iyanda, showed the future governor of Anambra State in a group at a formal get-together organised by the company.
Obiano, who was an auditor with the oil giant back then, stood out in the picture in his red bowtie with matching pocket square and cummerbund.
He is joined in the picture by his wife, Ebelechukwu; Mr Iyanda and his wife, Stella; former chief accountant of the company, Mr Joshua Ojo, and an official from the global head office in the United States of America.
A 1979 Accountancy graduate of the University of Lagos, Obiano worked at Texaco as refineries and bunkering auditor and later as chief international auditor.
The Aguleri-born politician also worked with FirstBank and Fidelity Bank before he took the bold step of becoming a politician.
