Wiseman Daniel Emelandu, one of the disciples of the late Prophet TB Joshua, has been presented an award on Joshua’s behalf.
The Yoruba Youth Parliament (YYP) presented a leadership award to Wiseman Daniel during service on Sunday, February 20 at his ministry called Everlasting Light of Hope International Ministry (ELOHIM).
Wiseman Daniel was recognised as the most outstanding spiritual personality of the year and also presented a medal.
Addressing the clergyman, the speaker of the parliament said: “We have tracked you down from Synagogue Church of All Nations and for what you have been doing, even following in the footsteps of our mentor and role model, somebody we call the greatest philanthropist in Christendom. For you to have followed in his footsteps we are happy and that is why we have come to celebrate with you.”
The parliament said they would have come much earlier to present the award after Wiseman Daniel clocked 49 on February 9, but for issues with logistics.
They further said that the recognition was for his “unsurpassed spiritual achievements, your immense contribution towards youth and community development through your humanitarian gesture, your propagation for peace in Nigeria; and your role as a role model being a source of inspiration to the entire youths.”
Wiseman Daniel could not control his emotion as he burst into tears, saying he wished Joshua were alive to receive the award himself. He, however, assured he would continue to project Joshua’s legacy.
He thanked the YYP for seeing him worthy of the award. “I want to say a big ‘thank you’ to you all for deeming it necessary to meet your boy, brother, friend and son Wiseman Daniel right here at ELOHIM ministry,” he said.
The parliament pleaded with Daniel to bring his ministry to the south-west, adding that he is the most trustworthy of all of Joshua’s key disciples.
