Wizkid on Sunday night brought out controversial US R&B singer Chris Brown during the first of his sold-out shows at the O2 Arena in London.
The Nigerian artist was performing as part of his Made in Lagos tour which broke the record for fastest-selling Afrobeats gig after tickets sold out in under 12 minutes.
Wizkid also brought out special guests including Nigerian artiste Tems and UK rapper Skepta.
Skepta’s ex-girlfriend and British supermodel Naomi Campbell was also at the show.
Wizkid and Tems performed their hit song ‘Essence’ together.
It was the second time Wizkid and Tems performed the song together on stage.
The duo performed ‘Essence’ together for the first time on stage in the United States in October 2021.
Chris Brown came out to perform a rendition of Go Crazy, his 2020 collaboration with Young Thug.
It marked the controversial R&B singer’s first UK performance in over a decade.
Brown was banned from entering the UK in 2010 after he was arrested in 2009 for assaulting his then-girlfriend, artist Rihanna, after a Grammy’s party.
Meanwhile, Wizkid fans breached security at the O2 Arena to break into his gig.
Videos posted to social media showed a stream of people dodging security barriers and charging their way in.
Wizkid is playing a three-night stand at the London venue.
A spokeswoman said “a breach of the security cordon on the arena entrance occurred” and “a number of fans in the queue were able to enter the venue”.
“The situation was quickly contained by staff and the incident resolved,” she added, in a statement given to the BBC on Monday.
