Nigerian pop stars, Wizkid and Davido, have been nominated in the Best African Act category at the MTV European Music Awards (EMA) 2017.
The two are the only Nigerian musicians on the list.
Others nominated in the category are South Africa’s Babes Wodumo & Nasty C, Angola’s C4 Pedro and Kenya’s Nyashinksi.
The award ceremony will be held in London on November 12, with Rita Ora as host.
Davido and Wizkid have been in a superiority battle in the last couple of years.
The duo has however done great for themselves as Davido has strengthened his fans base in Nigeria with the release of his chart-topping songs ‘If’ and ‘Fall’ and on Tuesday became the most followed Nigerian celebrity on Instagram.
Wizkid, on the other hand, has broken records with his international exploits, recently playing a sold-out concert at the famous Royal Albert Hall in London.
