Congratulations have come from no less a person than Wizkid following Tiwa Savage’s emergence as African Act at the MTV European Music Awards on Sunday.
Tiwa and Wizkid have been the subject of media interest in recent months over their flirtatious relationship.
It came as no surprise, therefore, when the ‘Fake Love’ singer congratulated his special friend on her latest triumph.
“God bless ya! Congratulations,” Wizkid wrote on Instagram on Monday.
Congratulatory messages also came from Don Jazzy, founder of Tiwa’s Nigerian recorded label, Mavin.
A witness of Tiwa’s hard work, Don Jazzy wrote, “You did it by GOD’s grace. You work the hardest. Your fans are as beautiful as you are. You deserve every accolade you get and more. Congratulations on your MTVEMA WIN.”
Tiwa beat Davido (Nigeria), Distruction Boyz (South Africa), Fally Ipupa (DRC), Nyashinski (Kenya) and Shekhinah (South Africa) to the MTV award.
