Pop singer, Wizkid, has hit out at those criticising him for missing his performance at the Coachella music festival in the US on Saturday.
The 27-year-old could not perform as scheduled because he could not make it to the country, organisers announced on their official Twitter handle.
He has, however, been rescheduled for next week.
We are sorry to announce that Wizkid is unable to make it into the country to join us this weekend but will be performing next weekend.

The explanations were not enough for some trolls who chose to drag the singer on social media.
3 Things are certain in this life. Death, Taxes & Wizkid cancelling a show last minute

Wizkid will fix his wedding in Dubai and still not attend because of visa issues.

Wizkid coming up with excuses these days: Passport renewal got delayed, visa issues, feeling sick, trying to catch his breathe, the loud he smoked was too bad he can’t rehearse …. Davido is always catching flights and turning up! Talent is great, but hardwork cuts the Cheque!

Wizkid was scheduled to perform on the MAIN stage. The same stage Beyoncé performed on. I don’t think I can understand any excuse.

See why foreign citizenship is good? Davido cannot have such Visa problems. Wizkid is missing a lot of huge shows because of this. Could be down to his non chalance but he needs a better team that can hire good travel agents

Responding, the ‘Ojuelegba’ singer told his critics they could have taken their dads to perform at the festival.

The 2018 edition of Coachella runs from April 13 to April 22.
The biggest performer on Saturday was Beyoncé, who created a frenzy on social media with her historic performance.
