A significant number of Nigerian musicians have been nominated for this year MTV Africa Music Awards (MAMA).
The awards ceremony will be attended by the creme de la creme of the African entertainment industry and will be hosted by South Africa’s own comedy export, Trevor Noah.
Wizkid, Olamide, Patoranking, Ycee and Flavour are among those that have been nominated for various categories including Best Male Act, Best Hip hop Act, Best Live Act and Best Collaboration.
Celebrity blogger, Linda Ikeji is not left out as she is also up for winning the Personality of the Year award, a categogry that also has Wizkid as a nominee.
It will be recalled that Linda and Wizkid had a fall out earlier in the year, over who owed rent and who slept with who.
The award holds at the Ticketpro Dome, Johannesburg, on Saturday, October 22, 2016.
