Fresh from a tour with American rapper, Future, Nigerian pop star, Wizkid, on Monday paid a surprise visit to his hood in Surulere, Lagos.
The singer, whose hit track, ‘Ojuelegba’, is an ode to the famous neighbourhood, was warmly received by a legion of fans who took pictures with him and sang his praise.
Born and raised in Surulere, the 27-year-old felt at home, declared that he “got all the juice I needed today.”

The visit to Surulere came on the day Wizkid told a fan who had created a beat to send it to him after someone brought it to his attention.
Wizkid is also looking forward to the Soul Train Awards on November 26 where he has been nominated in the Best Dance Performance category for his ‘Come Closer’ video and the MOBO Awards on November 29 for which he is nominated in the Best International Act and Best African Act categories.
