Grammy Award winning singer Wizkid has unfollowed Grammy nominee Tems on Instagram.
Qed.ng’s check on WizKid’s Instagram account on Sunday revealed that the singer is no longer following Tems on the platform.
The reason for the recent development is yet to be revealed.
Since the release of their hit single ‘Essence’ the duo has continued to receive international recognition and has peaked at number 10 on Billboard hot 100.
The duo made history as the first African song to bag nominations in three major categories and most nominated female African artiste respectively at the Soul Train Awards last year.
‘Essence’ was released in October 2020 as the 11th song on Made in Lagos, Wizkid’s fourth studio album.
Wizkide also expressed love for Tems when ‘Essence’ went platinum in the United States of America.
”I love you baby girl you are special and you are a superstar. This is your time and moment and the world needs to hear this because it is special to me.
“We have a Platinum record and I just want to say thank you to everyone involved in this from Tems to the producers, Legendary beats, these are my brothers from way back. I want to say we made a good beat.
”Thanks to the whole team from believing in the dreams from early, to my fans I appreciate you all and I pray God bless you all,” he said in a video.
